Stroke: A major risk factor for a brain attack is a sleep disorder.

Stroke is a potentially fatal condition that needs to be treated right away. According to the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, it can happen when something prevents blood flow to a portion of the brain or when a blood vessel in the brain bursts (CDC). The likelihood that your brain will suffer damage or degeneration after surviving a stroke increases, which could lead to long-term disability or even death. Having said that, let’s first examine the risk.

People over the age of 55, those with pre-existing medical conditions like high blood pressure, high cholesterol, or diabetes, and those with a family history of stroke, heart attack, or transient ischemic attack may be more at risk of having a stroke, according to the Mayo Clinic. In addition to these risk factors, however, severe sleep apnea can raise your risk of having a brain attack.

A serious sleep disorder called sleep apnea causes loud snoring and frequent, abrupt stops and starts in breathing. It’s intriguing that some reports point to a potential connection between sleep apnea and stroke. According to the Sleep Apnea Organization, up to 70% of stroke patients develop sleep apnea. Additionally, it has been claimed that irregular breathing while you sleep may even come before a stroke. A threat to the brain is posed by the fact that approximately 85% of people with sleep apnea are unaware of their condition. For this reason, medical professionals consider sleep apnea to be a stroke risk factor.

Three reasons why you should turn off your cell phone regularly

A smartphone is now used by millions of people. The device typically operates continuously, round-the-clock, every day of the week. Is this, however, beneficial to technology? We’ve outlined three reasons why it’s important to regularly turn off your cell phone, along with the best time to do it. Three reasons why you should turn off your cell phone regularly

For Security turn off your cell phone :

In a document called “Mobile Device Best Practices,” even the American secret service NSA suggests turning off your cell phone at least once a week. The secret service says that the method that is probably the oldest and simplest is the safest. This is because it can stop hackers from getting into smartphones and stealing information. Several apps or programs create temporary data that keeps growing. The phone will get slower and/or less stable over time. Also, many updates can only be done after a restart. At the same time, smartphones need updates, like ones that make the browser safer against malware.

Sustainability

Turning off your cell phone regularly is a good idea from a technical point of view as well as from a privacy point of view. About when you sleep at night. When you turn off your smartphone, the constant load on it goes down. On the other hand, charging lithium-ion batteries for too long, like overnight, can damage them and make them less powerful. By turning off your cell phone often, you can make it last longer.

Health

Smartphones are always sending us texts, emails, and phone calls. This is one of the reasons why so many people say they have trouble focusing. In her thesis, a student at the International School of Management in Hamburg showed that taking breaks from our phones is good for our mental health. Regular breaks cut down on the need to use cell phones and make it easier to work or relax.

What causes acne fulminans and how it is treated ?

Acne fulminans is the worst kind of acne vulgaris. It can be so bad that you have to go to the hospital. This kind of acne comes on quickly and causes painful patches on the face, neck, chest, and back.

Causes of acne fulminans
#image_title #site_title

Acne fulminans is a severe form of acne. It gets its name from how quickly it shows up and gets worse. This is a rare type of acne. Other symptoms, like fever or arthritis, may also be present.

Acne fulminans appears about two years after the onset of acne vulgaris. Skin lesions appear on the face, arms and back, similar to other types of acne. In the case of fulminant acne, skin changes are much larger and more disruptive.

Symptoms of fulminans acne

Acne fulminant is characterized by the appearance of strong skin lesions that quickly turn into wounds, the skin is strongly irritated, red, painful, and in most cases fever and joint pain. These changes may include the face, chest, but also the skin of the back.

Causes of fulminans acne

The most common causes of fulminant acne include:

  • genetics,
  • immune disorders,
  • hormonal disorders (also strong fluctuations associated with puberty),
  • viral infections,
  • excess androgens (and taking high doses of testosterone),
  • Oral isotretinoin treatment of acne vulgaris.

Isotretinoin is a vitamin A derivative and belongs to the group of retinoids that can be used in the treatment of severe forms of acne vulgaris. Due to its antibacterial properties, it releases inflammatory mediators, which can lead to exacerbation of skin lesions.

How is acne fulminans treated?

Acne fulminans may require hospitalization; start acne treatment as soon as possible to avoid scarring and other side effects of exacerbating symptoms. Corticosteroids and retinoids are taken orally. Home remedies for acne aren’t always enough.

How to STOP Flatulence (Farting): THIS REALLY WORKS!

The average person does farting without odor five to fifteen times per day. A bad diet may cause you to have more flatulence every day.

What causes flatulence? Check out these six causes and remedies for gas.

Low stomach acidity

Microbes make hydrogen and methane gas when they break down carbs and fiber. This is what causes flatulence.

Your big intestine is where this procedure is expected to take place. This is associated with SIBO when it takes place in your small intestine (small intestinal bacterial overgrowth). Numerous other intestinal problems might result from SIBO.

The pH of your stomach should range from 1 to 3, which is rather acidic. Your digestive system is stressed without a high level of stomach acidity, which can result in a variety of digestive problems.

The best remedies for low stomach acidity:
• Betaine hydrochloride
• Apple cider vinegar

Ginger can also help soothe the stomach.

Food intolerance

Food intolerance is another reason for gas. When your body is deficient in the enzymes needed to break down lactose, you may experience lactose intolerance, which is a frequent issue. This results in an abundance of gas. You can either avoid lactose or consume lactose-degrading enzymes.

Gluten intolerance is also common—if you’re on Healthy Keto, you don’t have to worry about gluten or grains.

Probiotics can strengthen your bacteria and possibly boost the synthesis of enzymes.

Gas-producing foods

Avoid these common gas-producing foods:
• Fruit
• Beans
• Legumes
• Starches (like potatoes and rice)
• Sugar
• Certain cruciferous vegetables (Brussels sprouts, broccoli, cabbage)
• Onions

Instead, consume more:
• Lettuce
• Tomato
• Zucchini
• Olives
• Avocado

Sugar alcohols and fiber

When ingested in excess, fibre, sugar alcohols, and keto-friendly low-calorie sweeteners can all upset the stomach. Reduce your consumption of these keto delicacies if you start to get gas.

Chewing gum

Chewing gum and chewing with your mouth open can cause you to swallow excess air. Avoid chewing with your mouth open.

Carbonation

Soda and other carbonated drinks can increase gas in your system.

What is HbA1C Test? Is it an Accurate Blood Test? – Dr.Berg

In this video, we’re going to talk about HbA1C. Is the A1C test accurate?

Although the A1C test is a great test to perform as part of your review, don’t rely on it alone.

What is the A1C test?

The A1C test can determine whether you have excessive blood sugar levels that mix with red blood cells. Diabetes would be present if your A1C result was 6.5 or higher. There is apparently a link between increased retinopathy and this high A1C test result.

If you decrease this number by 1%:

• Your death rate from diabetes goes down 27%
• Microvascular complications go down 37%
• Myocardial Infarction goes down 14%

However, about 30% of the population is anemic. If you’re anemic, the A1C test will be invalid.

Other things that could make the test invalid are:

• Sickle cell
• Iron disease

In a diabetic person, red blood cells expire far more quickly than they do in a healthy person. It can significantly influence what appears on the A1C findings if you measure the red blood cells after a brief exposure to glucose. This is so that the test can determine the length of time that the red blood cells are exposed to glucose.

Better tests would be:

• Fasting glucose
• Post-meal glucose
• HOMA-IR

It may be related to the dawn phenomenon if you wake up with high blood sugar and ketones. You produce glucose from fat, ketones, and protein, which is what causes the dawn phenomena. You’ve had insulin resistance for a long time, which is why this is happening.

You don’t really need to be concerned about this. It’s just a part of the transition phase if you have had chronic insulin resistance.
