A heated debate has started in Indian media over the decision of a Muslim Dominated Village council in Bihar. The Council believes that cellphones have debased their social atmosphere. The village said they had taken this decision because of the rising number of elopements and extramarital love affairs. They have decided girls and women will be fined if they found mobile phones in public.
I think this is a preposterous decision. We should not impose such restrictions on all the women for the crimes of few.
Statements of people affiliate with the council indicate they are narrow minded people. They should ponder why women or girls are doing. Either the economic condition of the area is not good or they treat their women harshly.
