Pakistan to privatize gasfield ahead of IMF talks

The Prime Minister of Pakistan has given his formal approval for the sale of Qadirpur gasfield and some other national entities ahead of talks with IMF. Qadirpur gasfield is one of the largest gasfieds in the country with proven gas reserves.

I think that such privatizations are not in the interest of the country. How long will Pakistan be able to continue if continues to sell profitable unit. There will come a time when there will not be anything to sell. What will happen then? It is the need of the hour to cut on expenses and learn to live within our own limited resources.
