A delegation of Pakistani officials is leaving for Dubai to hold talks with IMF. The talks will be held to know the progress made by the country in implementation of IMF program so that another installment might be released. While the government is seeking financial assistance from foreign donors, it has refused to cut its own expenses. In this country of ours, that is always looking to foreign nations or so called friends for financial assistance, there are more than 90 people who are either ministers or enjoy the status of a federal minister.
It is these people who are always clamoring to introduce austerity and simplicity. When they come to power, they throw everything to wind, and start enriching themselves. In my opinion IMF and other donor institutions, must make it a primary conditions that the federal cabinet will not comprise of more than 25 members.
