Congress Party will not field candidate against Akhilesh Yadav’s wife Dimple Yadav in Lok Sabha byelection. She is the candidate for av, the Samajwadi Party candidate in the Kannauj continuency.
Uttar Pradesh Congress Committee president Rita Bahuguna Joshi gave a lame excuse for this new development. He said that the party had not fieled their candidate from Kannauj in the 2009 Lok Sabha election.
I must remind them that they had fielded a candidate against Dimple in the 2009 by-election to Firozabad Lok Sabha sea. Congress has fielded Raj Babar against Dimple. Raj won the election. This incident had sourced the relations between the SP and Congress because had never fielded its candidaes against Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi in Rae Bareli and Amethi respectively.
