The couple at the heart of EU Corruption scandal

The European Parliament corruption scandal is becoming more complicated as new details emerge. For the time being, the ‘Brangelina of Brussels’ is in the spotlight.

Because the worst corruption scandal in the history of the European Parliament centers on a group of socialist MEPs and their officials. As the details get gorier, the list of arrests gets longer.

Eva Kaili, 44, and Francesco Georgi, an Italian MEP’s parliamentary assistant who was also detained, are both currently confined to a cell in Brussels. Describe this: On Eva Kaili’s father, a suitcase containing £600,000 was discovered in Brussels.”

“The couple, who have a daughter together, have been dubbed the “Brangelina of Brussels” by some European media (although, given the competition, that is not saying much). Kaili’s attorneys maintain that she is completely innocent, despite reports that Georgi is humming to his interrogators like Pavarotti.”

“This summer, when La Sûreté de l’Etat agents broke into the Brussels home of a former Italian MEP, they were shocked to discover €700,000 (£610,00) in cash, the majority of it in brand-new €50 notes..

The First Sign of KIDNEY DISEASE is …

Do you get up a lot at night? Learn more about the kidneys and the first sign of kidney disease.

we’re going to talk about the first sign of kidney disease. The kidneys are filters that convert blood into urine and recycle your fluid, protein, nutrients, and hormones.

Other functions of the kidneys include:
• Coordinating the amount of fluid in the body
• Converting vitamin D into the active form of vitamin D
• Regulating blood pressure
• Regulating the hydration of the body
• Eliminating toxins from the body

High blood sugar levels can lead to diabetic nephropathy, one of the most common causes of kidney failure and end-stage renal disease.

The first sign of kidney disease is nocturia, a situation where you urinate often during the night. Other common signs of kidney disease are protein in the urine and edema.

I have found that the best way to stop nocturia is to focus on improving the person’s diabetes first. A high-carb diet is ultimately behind diabetes.

The best ways to support your kidneys:
1. Go on a keto diet
2. Do intermittent fasting (one and a half meals a day)
3. Consume plant phytonutrients
4. Take benfotiamine
5. Take alpha-lipoic acid
6. Consume turmeric

EU energy ministers have agreed to cap natural gas prices after weeks of haggling over ways to rein in Europe’s soaring energy prices. The EU’s biggest economy Germany had previously blocked efforts to limit natural gas prices, fearing the move could disrupt supplies on global markets. Reports say the gas cap of 180€ per megawatt hour is set to come into effect in February.

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) on Tuesday predicted that Germany and Italy would both tip into recession next year, as it also lowered its global growth forecast.

Germany — Europe’s largest economy — is heavily dependent on Russian gas, which Moscow has cut in suspected retaliation for Western sanctions.

Italy, which is also reliant on Russian fuel imports, is set to see its Gross Domestic Product (GDP) contract by 0.2% — down sharply on the July forecast of 0.8% growth.

Although the eurozone is expected to avoid a recession, the output of the 19 countries in the single-currency bloc is forecast to grow by just 0.5%, worse than previously predicted.

Liked on YouTube: Africa Against the EU Gas Price Cap! Algeria Applies for Membership of BRICS.丨Algeria Gas Supply

Algeria, Africa’s largest gas exporter, has spoken out against the European Union’s gas price cap, saying it would threaten upstream investment, according to a Dec. 20 report.
Algerian Energy Minister Mohamed Arkab said his country “does not support the idea of a price cap.” “The energy market must remain free so that upstream investments can continue,” he said at a news conference. Algeria is seen as a reliable and secure supplier to Europe and we have agreed with our European partners on long-term pricing.”
The Kremlin has also harshly criticized the mechanism, saying it “undermines the market pricing mechanism.” The European Union, once Russia’s largest gas exporter, has closed its gas valves to Europe in retaliation for a series of harsh sanctions imposed on Russia by the West.
Prior to the Russia-Ukraine conflict, Algeria supplied about 11 percent of Europe’s natural gas. In recent months, European officials have been visiting Algeria to seek supply deals to help reduce dependence on Russia.

Liked on YouTube: Europe’s energy crisis is just getting started

It has been a fierce race against time for European nations looking to fill up their gas storage ahead of winter.

New deals were brokered, old gas facilities reopened, and measures to control consumption imposed — all in the wake of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. Their efforts and a mild start to the winter have paid off: more than 95% of the EU’s gas storage was filled by mid-November. That’s above the 80% target the European Commission set back in March.

That’s easing price pressures on consumers — but Europe’s energy crisis is far from over. In fact, energy experts tell CNBC it is next winter they are most worried about.
